Angry Bird Bottlecap Magnet

Hello everyone, today is quite different. My son is obssesed with Angry Birds and so i decided to make a DIY refrigerator magnet using the images of the Angry birds. I went online to see some pictures of the angry birds and just printed it on a regular printing paper. Cut the images using my 1inch circle punch, run it through my sticker maker and placed it in a regular bottle cap. Then, poured some embossing powder inside the cap and dry heated. Applied a magnet at the back side of the cap and WALA!!! an Angry Bird bottlecap refrigerator magnet.

FYI: You can use Crytal Effects to make it shiny instead of embossing powder. I just didn't use Crystal effects because my son is so excited about the project that he can't wait to use it. Crystal Effects takes longer to dry.

By the way, as you noticed that the first part of the video, the narrator is not me, YES it's my husband. We had fun making the video.

A Warm Hello

Good day everyone, its another card day for me today.  In this card I used the Fanciful Flight spellbinder for the butterfly, added some pearls for the body and few glass beads attached to the wire that serves as the antennae. Used DCWV Garden Party matstack, layered with the DCWV Metallic stack. I wrapped the buttom part with a lavender grosgrain ribbon and jute twine. Also stamped a sentiment on the right upper part of the card using the Warm Hello Set by Just Rite.  Phew..... that was quite a mouthful, but I hope it will help.

Post Halloween treat

Sure it is... Today was such a productive day for me. I made banana bread and my son was so eager to help out and so we decided to have him pour some of the banana bread mixture into the cupcakes. He really wanted to have some decorations on top of it and we used the Halloween sprinkles since i dont have any other kind of sprinkles available on hand.

Pillow Cases for my little one

Lately i have been playing with my sewing machine. After i made the curtain with grommets, i was gonna put my sewing machine away and here comes the coupon from one of my favorite stores that says, 50% off on fabrics. So, i found this nice fabric and decided to sew a pillow case for my son.  My son was so happy about it especially when he saw the prints of the different kinds of aircrafts.

Curtain using grommets

Over the weekend Labor day holiday, i decided to sew this beautiful curtain for my bedroom, while my husband is painting the wall. Here i used grommets and at first i thought it will be so hard but its not. I layered it as well to have the professional feel as well as the look of it...

the window still looks bare but just for posting purposes of the project i made. the room is not done yet.

this shot is just to show you that the curtain is layered.

Not sure why in these pictures, my wall color looks like lilac but its actually called Mystic Gray.

HiEllo everyone, here is another notepad I did for a friend of ours. I decorated the front cover with a couple of embelishments i found by my scraps, used my Zutter to attached the 1/2" Owires to the 50 index cards to create a pad (measured 3x5). I added different kinds of ribbons tied them up to the Owires. And tada!!!!  :)

Home decor

HiEllo everyone! I haven't posted for so long, summer is so nice that i get to spend more time outdoors.  But here is a project i will share to you all. I am not the originator of this project. Got this idea from a magazine i happened to scan the pages to (i totally forgot which magazine).  This is actually a platter that you can purchase at any store that sells kitchen stuff. Mine i got this from a dollar store. I used some ribbons and couple of embelishments. The word 'hoMe' was cut using my cricut machine. You can either change the wording to what so ever you desire.  Hope you have a fabulous day!
